BIOGRAPHY
Gia Nguyen is a dancer and choreographer originally from outside of Philadelphia, PA. She holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor in Arts in Sociology from Elon University. She has trained in various dance styles, competed in a variety of competitions and conventions and performed in numerous mainstage productions. Elon has provided Gia with many performance and choreographic opportunities through annual production as well as opportunities outside with notable professors. She has performed works by Jiwon Ha, Maurice Watson, Kara Jenelle Wade, Ashley Lindsey and Lisa Hines. Her work was selected at Elon’s annual Fall Dance Concert in 2023. She has had the privilege to study abroad and perform in Florence, Italy under the expertise of Marga Nativo, Benedetta Ghiglia, Angelo Egarese and Niccolo Poggini. Recently, Gia has worked with Jiwon Ha through the Greensboro Arts Council titled “Roots”.
In addition to her dance training, Gia has had the opportunity to be a Human Resources intern with PENN Entertainment. She was able to oversee the Human Resources department and learn the ins and outs of onboarding, organization, and maintenance of a positive work environment.
Gia is a hard working, dynamic, and powerful performer and learner. She displays her passions through her unique movement and artistry. Her dream is to pursue professional dance in commercial settings including NBA Dance Teams.
